Biography
Richard “Rick” Olmos is a skillful senior executive with over a quarter century of experience in overseeing the day-to-day operations and developing strategic communications programs that continually surpass expectations in all phases of non-profit, higher education, and corporate settings. He has a strong ability to forge strategic alliances, build consensus, and influence multicultural environments.
Olmos serves on the Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Council for Latino Affairs (GACLA) and Goggleworks Center for the Arts board, while also serving on the advisory boards of the Retired Senior Volunteers Program, Berks County District Attorney's CAC, Reading Film Festival, Berks Community Organizations Active in Disaster, and Penn State Berks Latino Advisory Board.
Olmos has a bachelor of arts degree in communications and theatre tech, which aligns with his previous career adventure in the film and television industry. He worked both in front of the camera as an actor and behind the scenes as a casting director/extras casting, and also did voice work for over 15 years. Olmos worked on such films as Selena, The Postman, Pearl Harbor, Dig, and the television series Friday Night Lights. A native Texan, Mr. Olmos is married to Wendy Bable, an independent playwright, director, dramaturg, and international writer for Theatre for Young Audiences.
